Supplemental Gastro-Intestinal Bacteria and Digestive Enzymes for Oral Equine Use.
.Kauffman's KA-HI Pro Paste
This paste provides a convenient, positive dose probiotic supplement designed to enhance the natural bacteria and enzymes present in the equine digestive tract. It will provide added essential gastrointestinal microorganisms (microflora) during times of feed changes, stress, exercise, training, and after de-worming and antibiotic treatment regimens.
Stress and your Horse: Horses undergo stressful situations virtually everyday-weather or ration changes, de-worming, antibiotic treatment, heavy training and/or competition, or transportation. These stressful situations can compromise the digestive capabilities of your horse. KA-HI Pro Paste provides insurance against digestive deficiency of beneficial microorganisms critical for efficient digestion.
Specially Selected Bacteria:
A product with a single species of bacteria does not fit every situation! The digestive tract of a monogastric horse is significantly different from that of a ruminant (i.e. - dairy and beef cattle), so don't be fooled into using a paste claiming to be formulated to fit all species. KA-HI Pro Paste probiotic formulation starts with host-specific bacteria strains specially selected for their compatibility with the equine digestive tract. These bacteria are then micro-encapsulated to preserve their viabilty during storage and to enhance their effectiveness. This same micro-encapsulation breaks down when exposed to the gastric juices and then releases the bacteria at the point of action - the intestinal tract! In addition to their fermenting/digestive action these bacteria have a competitive advantage over disease-causing pathogenic bacteria, which helps inoculate the digestive tract with "good" bacteria.
Digestive Enzymes:
KA-HI Pro Paste contains a specific combination of digestive enzymes that work synergistically with the inherent bacteria and naturally occurring enzymes of the equine digestive tract. Enzymes are the catalysts responsible for the breakdown of feed stuffs. Feed stuffs that may normally pass through the digestive tract are subjected to the hydrolyzing effects of these supplemental enzymes releasing otherwise unusable amino acids, energy, and essential nutrients found naturally in the feed.
Convenient, Positive Dosing:
With KA-HI Pro Paste there is no guesswork. Simply administer a 15- or 30-gram dose orally on the back of your horse's tongue and be assured that your horse is receiving the full dose of probiotics that you intended!

All Natural Sweet PDZ® Horse Stall Refresher, now available in Classic Powder and New Granular! Try it with stall mats.
Easy to Apply: Animals of each species show a surprising range of ammonia production, due to the differences in activity and eliminative behavior. The quantity of Sweet PDZ® to be used, therefore, will depend upon specific conditions.
For a standard 12'x12' horse stall, simply sprinkle 3-5 cups on the surface of the stall area, with heaviest treatment where urination is concentrated. Then, as part of the daily stall maintenance, remove saturated bedding material as usual, sprinkle wet sports with Sweet PDZ®, and move dry bedding from along walls to center of stall.
Safe to Use: Sweet PDZ® is non-toxic and non-hazardous. From the time Sweet PDZ® is applied until it is disposed of on a garden, field or compost pile, it is safe to handle. Moreover, it will not crack hooves!
Other Animals: Sweet PDZ® is safe and effective for use in all pet and livestock habitats.
How It Works: Sweet PDZ® removes ammonia from the air by adsorption, a process in which the ammonia sticks to the granules. The ammonium in the urine is trapped within the molecules of Sweet PDZ® by an exchange of ions and thus, held harmless by an ionic bond. The result is a fresh and healthy stall environment.
Sweet PDZ® is unscented. Masking agents try to cover up ammonia smell with an odor of their own. They don't address the problem, they hide it!
Sweet PDZ® dries as it deodorizes.
The Bottom Line: Sweet PDZ® is an economical treatment for your odor problems that extends bedding life, reduces fly population and eases clean up. The result is a healthier, cleaner environment for your horses with less labor, at a lower cost.
